Oh what a wedding! Todd and Chrissy had an amazing wedding this past winter at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, GA.

We met in college…

Todd and Chrissy both attended Auburn University. They were always friends, but finally started dating in the fall of 2010 – the year that Auburn won the national championship!

After they graduated, Todd got a job in his hometown of Athens, GA, and Chrissy starting working in Atlanta. After a year or so, Todd finally made the move to be with Chrissy in Atlanta. He proposed on February 1, 2015 in a park close to his house. You might remember their engagement session (here). At that time Chrissy had no idea why Todd was making her take his dog, Maddie, on a walk in the rain that day, but I am sure she’s very glad he did!

Together they’re raising Maddie in their recently acquired home in Decatur. Congratulations you two. I’m sure your Caribbean honeymoon in the Dominican Republic was just as amazing as your wedding.

Molly Wade, you did a fantastic job with Chrissy. Her hair and makeup are on fleek!

I love the natural expressions Chrissy’s bridesmaids have when they congratulate the happy couple after their first look. Bridesmaids dress from Bella Bridesmaid Atlanta.

Let the party begin… | Eagles Landing Country Club

Their first dance song was That’s How Strong My Love Is by Ottis Redding and daddy and daughter danced to The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra. Todd and his mom danced to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. I love photographing this part of the wedding. It’s so very emotional. It never gets old.

The cakes was by Bliss Cake Boutique. Did you get a look at the groom’s cake in the back? It represents Todd’s love of hunting.

Elegance meets exuberant color. That’s the best way we can describe the beauty of a Nigerian wedding. Chuma+Belle’s big day that began at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel for bridal prep, followed by a ceremony at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and then back to the the ballroom at the Renaissance Waverly embodied everything you would expect from a wedding. A truly loving couple with strong family bonds who know how to celebrate in style. It’s how all these factors play out that makes their experience so unique.

Belle and Chuma’s Nigerian Wedding

Traditional outfits that feature their culture and heritage compliment modern, sophisticated details. The day begins with Belle’s beautiful couture dress and Chuma’s sleek black suit. By the time the reception arrives, a quick change of outfits provides an explosion of color. In particular, the Aso-ebi custom is incredibly eye catching. With this Nigerian wedding tradition, outfits are made from matching fabrics and pattern and worn by family members to denote unity, support, and to represent sides of the family. Belle chose to feature Ankara lace in a rich hue of yellow with forest green accents for her wedding party. Friends and family join in the festivities with their own color combinations for a truly uplifting pallet of colors. Touching family tributes and native dance displays provide an atmosphere unlike other weddings you may experience. Heartfelt thanks to Chuma+Belle for allowing us to share this journey!

Charles + Betsy | Winder, GA Wedding

A few weeks ago we photographed the wedding of Charles (Chuck) and Betsy. I met Betsy over coffee at Starbucks to talk about her wedding and how we could capture it for her. I was referred to her by a mutual friend and from the moment I met her I knew we had to work together. She is the sweetest, most kind young lady I’ve met. Hearing her describe in detail a recent trip to Japan demonstrates how she enjoys experiencing other cultures. That fascinated me. So young and so adventurous!

She also talked extensively about her fiance and how they met. At first they were just friends but in time that friendship very quickly blossomed into a beautiful relationship. Now you can just see his eyes light up whenever she arrives.

All throughout they day of the wedding the emotions flowed, from the moment her father first saw his little girl in her dress, to the moment when the couple exchanged vows. It’s really beautiful to see how this wedding came together with the help of family and friends. That’s why I love weddings. I get a front row seat to every story and those moments live forever in photographs. It’s actually quite special.

Congratulations Chuck and Betsy. It was a pleasure to work with you and your special day.

Isaac + Jordan | Vinings Engagement

We are so thrilled to introduce Jordan and Isaac. These two are such a cool, laid back couple that truly appreciates photography. Hey, that already puts them at the top of our list! Seriously, what a pleasure it was spending our Saturday morning with them. It was so nice walking around the Vinings area taking in the sights of the Bradford Pears in full bloom. It appears we are finally breaking out of the strong winter we just had. Although we shot at various spots around this quaint town, I think we can easily agree that the blue Hermi’s Bridge was by far our favorite place to photograph. The light was just gorgeous. Thanks again for a wonderful time!
