Here’s a little sneak peek from this week’s fun engagement session.
They rocked this engagement session.
Can’t wait to share the rest of the engagement session soon.
Sweetness is at its very best! That’s what comes to mind when describing the connection Jimmy + Michelle have as a couple. What’s even sweeter is hearing how they met and how they arrived to this point in time.
Jimmy met Michelle at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in July of 2013 when he moved to South Carolina from Connecticut. It was truly an instant impact. Jimmy fondly remembers:
“She was completely stunning and I still remember exactly what she was wearing that day…she gave me a gorgeous smile and from that day forward, I was in love!”
Although he was extremely shy and a man of very few words, Michelle just knew he was special. “I just crushed from far away.” One weekend Michelle’s cousin encouraged Jimmy to get to know her better and the very next day, he made his move. That day was October 17, the same day that will now serve as their wedding date! In any case, things just exploded from there. Michelle recalls,
“He made it very easy to let my guard down.”
In particular because as she says, “I was the type who claimed I would never get married. People even recorded me saying that!” They got to know each other well and shortly thereafter, on March 9, Jimmy went old school and asked her parents for permission to date her. Gotta love him for that.
Moving ahead to the summer of 2014, Jimmy was now planning his proposal with all her friends. Meanwhile, for some time, Michelle and her friends were talking about doing a scavenger hunt in Savannah as part of their bucket list. This was perfect timing. So on they all jumped in a car and went down to this historic city, finding themselves at Forsyth Park. As they were enjoying their girls day, Jimmy popped up from behind a shrub to surprise Michelle. It was then and there that Jimmy dropped to one knee and proposed. “I was so nervous”. Jimmy laughs as he describes that moment. “I really don’t remember what I said as I was about to faint from the nerves.” Michelle remembers, “It was a complete surprise to see him there. He was so nervous, but it was so adorable and I was so happy it was finally happening.”
On this August day, we return to the site of their engagement, Forsyth Park, to relive this memorable moment in their lives and capture some beautiful photographs of a couple absolutely made for each other. Congratulations Michelle and Jimmy. We can’t wait to document your wedding day in just a couple of weeks!

For more than a century, the Duck Pond Park has been a much-loved and enjoyed natural green space in the Peachtree Heights East neighborhood of Buckhead. As one of the best kept secrets in Atlanta, it serves as a serene natural environment for many activities. On this day the park served as the setting to photograph Todd and Chrissy’s engagement session. All morning long storms kept blowing rain through the metro area. It almost seemed as if the session would not happen. Nonetheless, with a little faith and determination, we were able to catch a break and the clouds actually allowed the sun to shine through at times. What a wonderful time with this couple we had.
Todd, who’s originally from Athens gels perfectly with Chrissy, an Auburn grad. Together they have a very caring but easy going demeanor that makes it so easy to get along with them. Their smiles are just off the charts; and they’re adventurous enough to go along with all our crazy requests. We even had some time for Maddie to make an appearance. By the end of the day, we weather was still cooperating. Well, sort of. So we made a quick run to get a couple of shots at the Jackson Street Bridge for the Atlanta skyline before the skies opened up again. All in all, a fantastic experience.
The Duck Pond Park needs your help! Check out their website to see how you can help keep this treasure for another century.
They are so cute together. Her smile lit up an otherwise cloudy day.
The light was so amazing after the rain.
We were so happy to have Maddie join us now for the session. She’s such a sweetheart and playful. She really enjoyed playing with the ducks by the pond.
After some time playing with the ducks and dropping off Maddie, we headed over to the Jackson Street Bridge to end this amazing session. Congratulations and we can’t wait to cover your wedding next Spring.
This past spring we had the pleasure of working together with a wonderful team of wedding professionals to highlight one of the best-kept secrets in Georgia. Located in LaGrange, Georgia, the Bisham Manor is a Tudor-style castle with all the luxuries of a modern mansion home.
Inspiration for this styled shoot came from the architecture of the house itself. The goal; reflect the custom, bespoke feel of the venue with the modern artistic style of today’s bride. An airy color pallet of blush, gold, ivory, and pale blue-green hues were contrasted nicely by the earthy, rustic tones of the stone and brick walls of the mansion, as well as the dark green landscape surrounding the property.
We are proud to announce that the highly regarded online luxury wedding blog, Strictly Weddings has just published this shoot on their website! Check out the feature located here.
Many thanks to the editors at Strictly Weddings for their consideration. Their blog post has many images; however, we’d like to share some of our personal favorite here.
A classic Mercedes-Benz roadster was just another of the many details that made this project such a wonderful collaboration. Something we affectionately call “Southern Tudor Couture”.
The Bisham Manor is no ordinary house. It’s custom made. The same is true of the beautiful wedding gowns used on this day. Couture dresses made of silk gazar and french lace with hand-sewn cathedral veils call to the modern style of today’s bride. A tall, expertly decorated wedding cake helps mimic the height of the house.
Imported fine china with a British-European style complimented the high-end English Tudor history the home was designed for. No two place settings are alike, thus tapping into today’s style of layering patterns and textures for ultimate design.
Luxurious linens dressed the tables and beautiful floral arrangements echoed the color scheme, providing a very modern, contemporary feel to the look of the shoot.
Once again, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the Bisham Manor staff and all of the vendors listed below that bravely navigated morning thunderstorms and a very hectic schedule to make this shoot possible. If you are engaged or planning a wedding, we highly recommend all of them for your special day.

Oh my…what a weekend we had! We just had to share a little sneak peek to this amazing couple’s wedding. Maybe you remember Alex+Yaqui’s engagement from a few months ago at Piedmont Park. Take a look below to see how their love continues to blossom. Can’t wait to show the full blog post soon.
Love comes together from all angles to make the greatest combinations. A perfect example of this can be found with Mark and Kim. He’s from Jersey; she’s from the Bahamas. He’s an avid fisherman and she loves to work with numbers. Nonetheless they unite to become one of the most caring, fun-loving couples around. Nowhere was this more evident than on their wedding day. An easy-going outdoor ceremony with laughs layered all throughout. Their happiness is ever so evident on a variety of bridal portraits across multiple settings within the Callanwolde Fine Arts grounds. Even though we’ve photographed multiple weddings and events here; never have we been able to make such extensive use of this gorgeous venue on one occasion, covering both the inside and outside spaces of the property. It’s a testament to the value they place on photography. So many thanks to this wonderful couple for such a great experience.

Among several descriptions, Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines personality as attractive qualities that make a person interesting or pleasant to be with. Fuse two great personalities together and what do you get? Pure awesomeness! That’s what we have with Alex and Yaquelin. Spunk and loads of personality! A gorgeous sunny afternoon, a slight breeze plus tons of energy and laughter powered this engagement session across Piedmont Park and the Fox Theater in Downtown Atlanta. As a wedding photographer, working with couples that have this type of chemistry makes our job so much fun. We can’t help but to look forward to their August wedding!
Yaquelin’s smile and laugh are so contagious. We all had a wonderful time.
We didn’t want the night to end. So off to Peachtree Street and the Fox Theater we go.

Elegance meets exuberant color. That’s the best way we can describe the beauty of a Nigerian wedding. Chuma+Belle’s big day that began at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel for bridal prep, followed by a ceremony at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and then back to the the ballroom at the Renaissance Waverly embodied everything you would expect from a wedding. A truly loving couple with strong family bonds who know how to celebrate in style. It’s how all these factors play out that makes their experience so unique.
Traditional outfits that feature their culture and heritage compliment modern, sophisticated details. The day begins with Belle’s beautiful couture dress and Chuma’s sleek black suit. By the time the reception arrives, a quick change of outfits provides an explosion of color. In particular, the Aso-ebi custom is incredibly eye catching. With this Nigerian wedding tradition, outfits are made from matching fabrics and pattern and worn by family members to denote unity, support, and to represent sides of the family. Belle chose to feature Ankara lace in a rich hue of yellow with forest green accents for her wedding party. Friends and family join in the festivities with their own color combinations for a truly uplifting pallet of colors. Touching family tributes and native dance displays provide an atmosphere unlike other weddings you may experience. Heartfelt thanks to Chuma+Belle for allowing us to share this journey!
Is this dress from Allure Couture gorgeous?
